At $400 million, Limbaugh's talk is not cheap

Striking a deal estimated to be worth $400 million through 2016, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh has renewed his contract with Clear Channel Communications and its syndication subsidiary Premiere Radio Networks. Limbaugh said the new contract would pay him about $38 million a year for eight years. He also said he would receive a $100 million signing bonus.

The lost Beatles interview

Lennon recalls that both were unknown teenagers at the time. "I was playing at a garden fete in the ... village where I lived just outside Liverpool, playing with a group, and he came along and we met." McCartney said they were introduced by a mutual friend named Ivan. Lennon and McCartney became fast friends -- once they found out they had skills in common and a shared taste for such American stars as Fats Domino and Little Richard -- and they soon joined up with teenage guitarist George Harrison to form the nucleus of what would become the Beatles. Drummer Ringo Starr would come much later, just before the group started its string of No. 1 hits.
