Baby, it's cold outside

Turn down the thermostat and settle in for "Snowbound: Animals of Winter," a new "Nature" documentary that will make you grateful you're not rolling around Antarctica and the Arctic Circle with the wolves, foxes, weasels and even caterpillars featured here. How they adapt to their surroundings without skyways remains one of life's great mysteries.

Still knocking

"Full Frontal With Samantha Bee" was heralded last year as a breakthrough for women on late-night talk shows — except it wasn't. First of all, "Frontal" appeared in prime time. Once a week. On TBS. Bee's new (and better) slot on Wednesdays means there still isn't a woman in the after-hours club, but it may give her a slightly bigger audience.

Dorks from Ork

"Jeff and Aliens" may seem like just another low-budget cartoon aimed at the Beavis and Butt-head bubbling inside the next generation, but this animated series has more going for it than its cheap production would suggest. Jeff (Brett Gelman) puts up with the ultimate immigrants, who have a lot more on their minds than taking away jobs. In the premiere, the visitors order their new friend/lab experiment to kill another human to save the rest of mankind — and to stop using their toothbrushes. Richard Kind, Malcolm McDowell and Keegan-Michael Key are among the guest voices.
