A baker's dozen

The English culinary world continues to battle perceptions that it survives solely on fish and chips with a third season of "The Great British Baking Show." Watch a dozen amateur chefs whip up puddings, chocolate tea cakes and treacle tarts, all while making sure that the requisite teacups don't go unfilled.

What a blast

Jon Cryer's experience working with Charlie Sheen's out-of-this-world antics on "Two and a Half Men" makes him an ideal candidate to star in the first installment of "Celebrity Adventure Club," a new series in which the Hollywood elite explore an entirely different class of travel. In the premiere, the Emmy-winning actor hobnobs with American and Russian space explorers and gets a taste of zero gravity training.

Forces of nature

"The Hunt," a seven-week documentary, may have an ominous title, but producers who spent three years hop-scotching the globe have more on their agenda than showing predators pounce on their prey. Technological advancements and a clear adoration for animals of every size and species make this a four-star nature walk. For more on the series, see Saturday's Variety section.

Game face

The NFL is one of executive producers for "All Or Nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals" — and it shows. A film crew may have had unprecedented access to the 2015 contenders, coached by the colorful Bruce Arians, but they clearly glossed over the pain and suffering that comes with getting beat up on any given Sunday to focus squarely on the joys of playing competitive sports. Jon Hamm, who has apparently forgiven the Cardinals for leaving his beloved hometown of St. Louis, narrates this eight-episode love tap.
