The storm which brought the heavy snowfall to parts of the Ohio Valley on Monday will strengthen Tuesday as it redevelops along the New England coast.

Snow will gradually taper off in the Boston, Mass., area later Tuesday and may even mix with some rain, but just north and west of the city the snow will accumulate 3 to 6 inches.

The heaviest snow will fall across central and northern New England, resulting in very slow travel and low visibility into Tuesday night.

Behind the storm, northwesterly winds will be quite gusty, while snow showers will be widespread from the Great Lakes to the Appalachians.
