Dreary Mid-Atlantic Wednesday

April 15, 2009 at 4:30PM

A storm crawling eastward will be the culprit behind another cool, drearyday over the mid-Atlantic today. The storm will deliver periods of rain, whichwill extend back to Michigan and Ohio. Motorists should prepare for slowtravel. This is especially true where pockets of heavier rain pour down. Areasof fog will also obscure visibility. Flight delays could ensue in New YorkCity, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. The rain and blanket of clouds will keep temperatures significantly belowtypical mid-April highs. Temperatures will be held to around the 50-degreemark.

Many places over New England and upstate New York will be warmer than themid-Atlantic states. The comfortable weather will result from more sunshinewith high pressure overhead.
