Heavy Rain from Plains to Midwest Next Week

This has all the earmarks of a big rain event for the central part of thecountry. A series of low pressure systems emerging from the Texas Panhandle andOklahoma is likely to produce heavy to excessive rainfall from the southernPlains to the Great Lakes in the Sunday through Tuesday time period.A computerized projection shows the heaviest rainfall stretching fromnorth-central Texas, through Oklahoma, eastern Kansas and Missouri intonorth-central Illinois. Through the central axis of this region, rainfallamounts are being forecast to exceed 4 inches which would certainly causeflooding.
