A significant Pacific storm will slam into California late this week, mostlikely on Friday.The storm will be loaded with moisture as it moves inland, and the result willbe heavy rainfall across a large portion of California, while heavy snow fallsin the mountains.
This is the type of storm that could produce widespread flooding and dangerousmud slides. Strong winds will also buffet the coast and mountains.
