GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. - A Grand Rapids woman has died a week after police say she was shot by a man in her home.
The Hibbing Daily Tribune reports Sunday that 59-year-old Rosemary Oberg-Johnson died at a hospital on Saturday (http://bit.ly/X6mSPu). Prosecutors had previously charged William Levi Payne of Bovey with eight felony counts in connection with the Dec. 22 shooting of Oberg-Johnson and her son, Paul Russell Johnson.
Paul Johnson remains in critical condition at a hospital in Duluth.
A woman who had been granted an order for protection against Payne told police she was visiting the shooting victims when she heard Payne yell and saw him fire a gun.
Payne is in custody at the Itasca County Jail. Prosecutors say they'll amend the complaint against him.
