HAVANA - Negotiators for Colombia's government and the country's main rebel group have agreed to a short break in their talks in Havana aimed at ending a half century of conflict.
The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia and the government say they will resume negotiations Wednesday. They announced the recess after wrapping up a session Thursday.
Both sides say the break will allow them to consult with their leaderships.
The negotiations shifted to Cuba on Nov. 19, a month after the peace process was officially inaugurated in Oslo, Norway.
