A look at five likely candidates for the Super Preps class entering college in 2019.
Quinn Carroll, Edina
OT • 6-7, 290
The top-ranked recruit in Minnesota for the Class of 2019. Nearly 30 Division I offers, most from Power Five Conference schools. Very physical, packs a punch and moves fluidly.
Bryce Benhart, Lakeville North
OT • 6-8, 285
Really started attracting interest last summer. His size is the big draw, but as a wrestler, he's developed intangibles — leverage, use of hands, playing in tight spaces — that set him apart.
David Roddy, Breck
QB • 6-5, 245
The size of a lineman with the athleticism and skills needed to play quarterback. Will have to chose between football and basketball, where he also has Division I offers.
Cole Kramer, Eden Prairie
QB • 6-1, 195
Strong, accurate arm with above-average athletic ability. Terrific mobility in the pocket and enough speed to be effective as a runner. Getting Big Ten interest.
Treyton Welch, Buffalo
WR • 6-3, 195
Has arguably the best hands in the state. Excellent size and body control allows him to high-point the ball and make circus catches. Runs well after the catch.
