  • Updated: June 17, 2013 - 12:09 AM

The Stillwater Lift Bridge over the St. Croix River is blocking boat traffic until a snapped cable can be repaired.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported Sunday night that it’s not known when the bridge lift will reopen. The bridge remains open for motor vehicles.

MnDOT gave no further information on the cause of the snapped cable.
