    A Parade of Homes model in Excelsior evokes traditional farmhouses.

  • This modern farmhouse-style home designed by Barry Petit and Maureen Steele Bellows is anchored by a great room that encompasses the kitchen, dining and family rooms.

  • PARADE OF HOMES

    What: More than 390 model homes, many of them furnished and decorated, will be open for tours throughout the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin. The Energy Efficient Home Tour features 170 homes designed to conserve energy.

    When: Noon to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through March 30.

    Events: Free villa lifestyle for empty nesters, interior design and green building programs at various homes.

    Admission: Free, except for the three Dream Homes, which cost $5 to tour.
