15 years of flowers

Brown & Greene Floral Market in Linden Hills is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a month of festivities. On July 8-9, the shop will host a European open-air flea market featuring Irish antiques, Parisian pedestals, baskets, retired fragrances from their Mixture candle line and other vintage pieces.

On July 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Brown & Greene will host "Still Life," a floral-design class demonstrating how to create a French still-life bouquet with flowers picked fresh from local grower Prairie Garden Farm. Throughout July, there will be a "vase drive" to raise awareness and funds for Midwest Animal Rescue & Services (MARS). For every vase brought in, Brown & Greene will donate 50 cents to MARS. "Vase droppers" will have a chance to win prizes, including gift cards and custom floral bouquets.
