New kid in town

“NCIS” (7 p.m., WCCO, Ch. 4), the most popular drama on TV, welcomes a new gunslinger. Emily Wickersham joins the show as an analyst who specializes in international threat assessments, global preparation and avoiding Mark Harmon’s slaps to the back of the head.

The return of Coach

Damon Wayans Jr. was supposed to be a regular cast member on “New Girl” (8 p.m., KMSP, Ch. 9), but he had to drop out when “Happy Endings” got an unexpected renewal. Now that “Endings” is gone for good, Wayans has returned, starting last week with a meltdown at a strip club. He’ll guest-star for the rest of the third season.

Do you believe in magic?

In “David Blaine: Real or Magic” (8:31 p.m., KSTP, Ch. 5), the magician has his work cut out for him as he tries to outdazzle Kanye West, keep his cool around Olivia Wilde, trick the mind of Stephen Hawking and get some sort of reaction out of Harrison Ford.
