Death becomes them

“Reaper,” the 2007-09 dramedy about a young man forced to be the devil’s bounty hunter, may not have the cult following of, say, “Firefly,” but there’s enough interest in the series to justify a “Reaper Reunion Special” (8 p.m., FEARnet) in which the cast discusses the series. Among the tidbits: Before Ray Wise was cast as Satan, producers considered Louis C.K.

The lunatic you’re looking for

As you may recall, Billy Joel may be crazy because he “even rode my motorcycle in the rain.” Now he’s having his BSA 850 bike restored by Rick Dale on “American Restoration” (9 p.m. History). As added pressure, Dale will have to do his surgery while the piano man belts out every verse of “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”

You’ve got some friends

Carole King becomes the first woman to receive the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Award, a feat celebrated in song during “In Performance at the White House” (7 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2). James Taylor, Gloria Estefan and biker boy Billy Joel are among those paying tribute.
