Add iPods to the list of equipment Minnesota anglers will be taking out on the ice this winter.
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officials think more anglers are using MP3 players, so they've developed a 30-minute podcast packed with ice fishing tips.
The podcast features an interview with fishing instructor and outdoors writer Terry Tuma, and can be downloaded from the DNR's Web site. Topics on the podcast include how to keep warm on the ice and how to use various ice fishing equipment and technology to find the fish.
DNR information officer Tim Smalley says the podcast is a good way for the agency to encourage ice fishing and help anglers get information about it.
