High pressure will dominate across much of the West today. This will set up a warm and dry flow to the west of the Rocky Mountains, and sunshine will abound throughout the entire region. Temperatures will reach into the 60s in Oregon, Washington and western Idaho, while the mercury will read over 70 in parts of northern California.

However, the sunny and dry weather will not last. A storm system will slowly creep towards the region over the next couple of days and will send rain through California by Tuesday.
