Back in session

Fans of "Community" may want to start registering for "A.P. Bio" as it kicks off its second season. Glenn Howerton ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") slips nicely into the role of the self-centered protagonist, using his high school class to seek revenge on those who wronged him — and learning a little about himself along the way. He's supported by a A-plus cast, including Patton Oswalt as the principal everyone wishes they had but doesn't really exist.

Bound for glory

A who's who of folk music turned out for the "Woody Guthrie All-Star Tribute Concert: 1970" and now music fans finally have a chance to see it. Highlights include Joan Baez singing "Plane Wreck at Los Gatos (Deportee)" and Odetta's version of "Ramblin' Round."

8 p.m. TPT, Ch. 2

Court of appeal

The Shonda Rimes Factory's attempt to do for courtroom procedurals what "Grey's Anatomy" did for medical dramas continues with the second season of "For the People," despite middling ratings the first time around. Charles Michael Davis ("Younger") joins the soapy proceedings as a new investigator for the public defender's office.
