The big bash

After watching the Oscars, I think the "Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special" feels even more spectacular. If you missed it last month, you can catch a two-hour abbreviated version. 7 p.m. VH1

Can you dig it?

If you like your mysteries with an international flair, check out "Dig," a 10-episode series set in Jerusalem, Norway and New Mexico. Jason Isaacs plays an investigator who uncovers Holy Land secrets while trying to solve a murder. 9 p.m. USA

Crime pays

"How to Get Away With Murder" has finished its rookie season, and ABC has made the questionable choice of filling its time slot with "American Crime," a limited series starring Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman. It's a riveting, thought-provoking drama, but it seems like an odd fit in Shonda-land. Viewers going from "Scandal" to "Crime" may get whiplash. 9 p.m. KSTP, Ch. 5
