A difficult conversation

Parents ready to educate their children about the Holocaust may want to hold off on cueing up "Schindler's List" and opt instead for "The Number on Great-Grandpa's Arm," a 20-minute documentary seen through the eyes of a wide-eyed boy learning about the tragedy through a beloved relative's stories.

Van the man

One of Prince's buddies keeps the music playing on the premiere of "The Van Jones Show." Kickoff guest Jay-Z is expected to talk about activism and social issues. The weekly series should be a nice companion piece for "The Messy Truth With Van Jones" and solidify the pundit's status as one of CNN's more important stars.

Your songs

In what universe is "Nikita" considered one of Elton John's finest tunes? That would be the singer's homeland of England, which recently conducted a poll that's been turned into "Elton John: The Nation's Favorite Song," a cheeky countdown with color commentary from Rod Stewart, Annie Lennox and John himself. The results may have you rejiggering your own list.

Attorneys, including Van Jones, left, made their way into the Carver County Justice Center on June 27, 2016 in Chaska, MN. Attorneys representing the potential heirs to Prince's estate met in court to discuss issues related to DNA testing of those making a claim to the late musician's music and millions. ] (ELIZABETH FLORES/STAR TRIBUNE) ELIZABETH FLORES • eflores@startribune.com
