May the force be with them

"The Big Bang Theory" has had its fair share of nerd cameos, from George Takei to Stephen Hawking — but can they land the biggest fish of them all? The episode synopsis says Sheldon and Leonard contemplate paying a visit to George Lucas' house. No word on whether the "Star Wars" creator actually makes an appearance. 7 p.m. WCCO, Ch. 4

Lips are not sealed

"Lip Sync Battle" seems obviously inspired by sing-offs on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon," so it only makes sense that the late-night host would make an appearance on the series. He goes up against Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. 9 p.m. Spike

The road goes on forever

"The Red Road" returns for its sophomore season, picking up where it left off with the fallout from the shootout between a member of an American Indian tribe and a local police officer. Julianne Nicholson is among the talented cast members. 9 p.m. Sundance
