Paint by numbers Inventing the antimicrobial drug Argyrol allowed the late Albert Barnes to amass one of the world's great collections of art, which, for legal reasons, has been unavailable for view by the public. That changes with "The Barnes Collection" (8 p.m. Friday, KTCA, Ch. 2), a special that lets you peek at various Picassos, Cezannes, Renoirs and Matisses. It's a safe bet that the documentary won't feature any work of dogs playing poker.

Assist ball Beating the Washington Generals has become so easy that the Harlem Globetrotters can make time to help the morbidly obese. The famous basketball team sets up some physical challenges for a 543-pound father on a two-hour edition of "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" (8 p.m. Sunday, KSTP, Ch. 5).

Cold call Matt LeBlanc could invent a car that runs on maple syrup and he'll still be known as "the dumb guy from 'Friends.'" Fortunately, LeBlanc has a good sense of humor about it, which he displays on the brilliant "Episodes" (9:30 p.m. Sunday, Showtime). This week, the actor is forced to call his former castmates and beg them to make a cameo on his new show. It's some of the best phone humor since Bob Newhart was doing the dialing.
