Turning Much Colder in the West

Today's weather will be anything but friendly in the Northwest. Colder airwill be drilling southward behind a storm centered over Nevada. The cold shotwill keep temperatures in the 40s for the better part of the day across much ofWashington, Oregon and western Idaho. Higher elevations can expect to remain inthe 30s with snow showers.In California and Nevada, the leading rush of chilly air will be accompaniedby strong, gusty winds. On the ridges, winds will gust to 65 mph.
