PHOTO TIPS

January 23, 2015 at 12:56PM

1 If you're taking photos on private land, be sure to get permission from the landowner.

2 Placing a blind ahead of time is very important. Give your photo subjects time to adjust to the blind's presence.

3 Snow can fool a light meter, even in modern cameras. Once in your blind, take a few photos to make sure your camera's settings are correct.

4 To help me stay warm while in a blind, I use chemical warmers. I put them in my boots, and always have one in each pocket.
