A 19-year-old Robbinsdale man has been arrested in connection with the death a 17-year-old boy whose body was found lying on the side of a road early Monday in Fridley, authorities said Wednesday.

The suspect, who was arrested by Minneapolis police on Tuesday, is in the Anoka County jail, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office. He is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to the Anoka County jail's website.

The body of 17-year-old Mohanned Abdul Hafiz Abukhdeir was discovered by police about 1:15 a.m. Monday along the 7600 block of Meadowmoor Drive NE., Abukhdeir lived nearby.

The Sheriff's Office has not said how Abukhdeir was killed, only that "the manner of death indicates foul play." Further information will be shared if and when the suspect is charged, it said.
