The rain that occurs across the northern Plains tonight and Friday will havelow impact on the flood situation. Rainfall amounts will be under 0.50 of aninch in general which is not enough to add more flow to the receding rivers. Onthe other hand, any rain at all will slow the rate at which land that is stillcovered by water drains.Sunday into next week, another big rain event will occur across the centralpart of the country, but that disturbance is likely to miss the Red River andits tributaries.
