Pretty bird, feeder birds

Great Crested Flycatcher

This is a Great Crested Flycatcher that has recently been spending a few minutes each day perched on one of our deck chairs. Sits, calls a couple of times, then leaves. He is the pretty boy on the deck at the moment. Chickadees have returned to the deck feeders after an absence of about four weeks. I think this means that the first clutch of young has fledged, the parents back at the seed feeder after chasing insects for baby food.
