Medtronic Inc. said Wednesday that it has pledged $25,000 through its foundation to support flooding relief efforts in the greater Memphis, TN area.
Although Medtronic is based in Fridley, its $3.5 billion spine business is located in Memphis, employing 1,570 people.
The money will be directed to the Mid-South Red Cross to provide basic needs for displaced residents and to support recovery efforts, Medtronic said. In addition, Medtronic employees in the area are also being offered paid leave to volunteer for relief efforts.
