Free tax preparation help for Minnesota's low-income residents, senior citizens and small business owners is available. For more information and locations, contact the organizations:

IRS/Minnesota Department of Revenue VITA Site Program

Qualifications: Individual or family income of $40,000 or less.

Starting date: Varies by location, through April 15. Some already are open.

AARP Minnesota

Qualifications: Elderly and low-income preferred, but program open to all.

Date: Now through April 15.

AccountAbility Minnesota

Qualifications: Individual income of $30,000 or less; family income of $40,000 or less; small business income of $50,000 or less.

Starting date: Now through April 15.
