Cooked to a Crisp Friday

July 2, 2009 at 8:25PM

The South will be Too Hot To Trot Friday. Heat, humidity and a torrid Julysun will all combine to produce RealFeel temperatures as high as 110degrees.With all the heat and humidity one would think thunderstorms would readilyform, but that doesn't always happen. If the atmosphere is warm all the way up,rising parcels of heated surface air lose buoyancy and fail to create stormclouds. Only when the air is slightly cooler aloft due thunderstorms build.

In any case, it will be blazing hot across the South Friday with highs from96 to 102 and more of the same is expected Saturday.
