The biggest news to come out of the Packers locker room today was the announcement that LT Chad Clifton (ankle) still can't practice and CB Charles Woodson, the NFC's defensive player of the month in September, also missed practice because of a foot injury.

The rest of the injury report: S Atari Bigby and RB Brandon Jackson have been ruled out for Monday's game at the Metrodome. DL Cullen Jenkins, LB Jeremy Thompson, Clifton and Woodson did not participate. And WR Greg Jennings participated fully.

The Packers are hoping to get Clifton back. He missed the Rams game on Sunday, causing three changes on the offensive line. LG Daryn Colledge had to move to left tackle, center Jason Spitz had to move to left guard and former starting center Scott Wells had to be put back in the lineup. While the Packers had their lowest sack total of the year (2), the Packers want Clifton back in part because he has played fairly well against Vikings DE Jared Allen.

Now, as far as the, uh, "other" storyline -- the Packers going against a certain No. 4 -- the locker room was purposely subdued for the most part.

Receiver and longtime Favre friend Donald Driver waved the first wave of reporters through by saying, "Same old, same old. No big deal."

A reporter asked linebacker Aaron Kampman if it would be "surreal" to "tackle that guy." Kampman started talking about tackling Adrian Peterson, not Favre. When told the question was about Favre, Kampman laughed and said, "See, I wasn't even thinking about him."

Linebacker A.J. Hawk said, "It's just a football game."

Cornerback Al Harris slipped the media throng three times: Once to work out, once to shower and once for meetings.

Finally, Jennings wasn't afraid to say something when asked if "deep down, Aaron wants this game more than others to prove on the national stage that the Packers made the right decision."

"Yeah, definitely," he said. "That's his competitive nature. I'm sure he better. I wouldn't think otherwise. I would probably look at him kind of strange if he didn't. ... I'm sure he does want it more. I'm quite positive he wants it more. But I can probably say the same thing for Brett. Brett probably wants this more, too."

Jennings also joked about whether he'd ever play for the Vikings.

Pretending to be a reporter, Driver asked Jennings if he could ever see himself playing for the Vikings.

"Right now, no," Jennings said. "But if it came down to that, who knows? Brett did it. I think all of us get a free pass after Brett did it."
