Leslie Frazier officially canceled his mandatory minicamp scheduled for this weekend because of the NFL lockout. As a first-year head coach for the Vikings, Frazier was allowed to hold two mandatory minicamps rather than one, per league rules.

However, the lockout wiped the first one out, and Frazier told Judd on Saturday that a new CBA might not allow a new coach to hold a second minicamp.

Rams might be interested in Rice It remains unknown whether Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice will be a restricted or unrestricted free agent in a new collective bargaining agreement.

His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said last month that Rice would like to test the market when free agency begins. According to ProFootballWeekly, the St. Louis Rams are one team that is expected to show interest in Rice.

That's not surprising as a number of teams likely will explore whether to sign Rice, who had a Pro Bowl season in 2009 but missed the first nine games this past season after having hip surgery.

The question with Rice is whether he will be restricted or unrestricted with four accrued seasons in a new CBA. The Vikings placed a first-round tender on Rice in the event he's a restricted free agent. If players with four seasons of service become unrestricted in a new CBA, the tender won't matter.
