Vikings interview special teams coach

Posted by: under Vikings, Leslie Frazier, Vikings players, Leslie Frazier Updated: January 10, 2011 - 2:26 PM

As we mentioned on Sunday, Vikings coach Leslie Frazier is interviewing Denver Broncos special teams coordinator Mike Priefer at Winter Park on Monday.

Priefer, who coached the Broncos special teams the past two seasons, is interviewing for the same post with the Vikings. Brian Murphy remains in that position on Frazier's staff, but Frazier has been noncommittal about Murphy's role going forward.

Priefer has coached special teams for the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and Broncos during his nine seasons in the NFL.

Here is Priefer's bio from the Broncos website.
