While the Vikings have yet to officially confirm that Monday night's game against the Bears will be at TCF Bank Stadium, interim coach Leslie Frazier said his team is planning to the game on the University of Minnesota campus.

"I'm believing that now," Frazier said when asked if the game would be in Minneapolis. "Of course things could change. But that's what we're targeting, TCF Bank Stadium." Frazier acknowledged there is an internal deadline that has been established by the Vikings for a decision to be made but he would not reveal the day.

One issue that has come up is the potential for the field to be slick and unsafe for players.

"From everything I've been told, player safety should not be an issue," Frazier said. "They are doing everything possible to assure us that that's not going to be an issue and that's what we're believing. We'll get a chance to either go through a walk-through on Sunday or Saturday as a team [at TCF Bank Stadium]. That's what we're looking forward to so our guys can get comfortable with it. But we don't foresee that being an issue based on the information we've received." Webb to start? Frazier said that Joe Webb will take snaps with the first team in today's practice but he did not say that the rookie will start for certain against the Bears. With Brett Favre being injured and Tarvaris Jackson having been placed on injured reserve today, there is a chance the Vikings could look to Patrick Ramsey. The veteran journeyman signed with the Vikings on Wednesday. "We'll see," Frazier said when asked if Webb would get his first start. "Just give it a couple of days and just see if things chance. We'll see what happens." Asked if it would be fair to put Webb in that situation, Frazier said: "Just in talking with Joe he's really excited about the opportunity. He can't wait to line up and play and have a chance to start if that happens. He's not running away from it and we have confidence that he can get it done and we've got other players around him. That's one of the things I told Joe and told our team. We've got a lot of good players on this team so it's not like it's going to be all Joe Webb. Our offense, our defense, our special teams, everybody involved has to help and has to support Joe. So he's excited about it and we're excited about the fact that he may end up starting." Peterson not practicing, Harvin returns Running back Adrian Peterson was among the Vikings not practicing this afternoon. Not sure why he wasn't out there but Peterson has been bothered by a sprained ankle he suffered on Nov. 28 against Washington. Also sitting out for the Vikings were quarterback Brett Favre (arm), safety Tyrell Johnson (knee), safety Jamarca Sanford and left guard Steve Hutchinson (hand). Meanwhile, wide receiver Percy Harvin returned after his lengthy absence. Harvin, who has been dealing with migraines, has missed the past two games. Defensive end Ray Edwards (ankle) also was back on the practice field. Favre was tested for blood clot Favre said today that the ultrasound he underwent Monday was to check for a blood clot. That came back negative but Favre doesn't sound like a guy who can play again anytime soon. "I don't see any change today," Favre said of the numbness in his throwing hand. "There is still some numbness and discomfort so again as I said after the game there's no way I would even consider it with those symptoms still. I think it would be foolish to even think that way." Asked if he had any idea how long it would take to get better, Favre said: "I believe I talked about non-technical terms, stinger, a burner, a pinched nerve, which is basically what it is. That's not uncommon. I got it two weeks in a row. So had I not gotten it the second game versus Buffalo probably I think time would be the best remedy. Being a nerve or whatever there's not a whole lot you can do. So I don't think it would even be wise to go out and throw and reaggravate it. So it's a time situation."
