Thoughts while counting snaps from Sunday's 30-24 overtime win over the Jets …

OFFENSIVE SNAPS: 58.

QUARTERBACKS: Teddy Bridgewater 58, Christian Ponder DNP.

Thoughts: Bridgewater's resiliency is becoming his strongest suit. The reason Jets coach Rex Ryan called a cover zero blitz on third-and-five in overtime is because Bridgewater hadn't done anything against that call the whole game. But unlike Ponder from past years, Teddy B doesn't drag the bad plays with him throughout the game and into the next week. He has learned how to cut them loose, which is a great trait to have as a rookie.

OFFENSIVE LINE: LT Matt Kalil 58, C John Sullivan 58, RG Joe Berger 58, RT Mike Harris 58, LG Vladimir Ducasse 30, LG Charlie Johnson 28, David Yankey INA, T J'Marcus Webb INA.

Thoughts: Initial thoughts are Johnson has played his last down as a Viking. His left the game with a right ankle sprain and left the locker room on crutches and in a walking boot. The team has no interest in bringing him back next season. And with only three weeks left, this probably could be it for Charlie. Kalil struggled, giving up the sack for the safety and getting flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct on a PAT. The latter, especially, just can't be allowed to happen.

RECEIVERS, TIGHT ENDS: WR Charles Johnson 58, TE Kyle Rudolph 54, WR Greg Jennings 52, WR Jarius Wright 35, TE Rhett Ellison 22, WR Cordarrelle Patterson 1, TE Chase Ford INA.

Thoughts: The fact that Charles Johnson can get open and Cordarrelle Patterson can't even get back on the field is mind blowing. Johnson was a D-II player, a 2013 seventh-round draft pick and he's on his third team. Patterson is a 2013 first-round draft pick who was an All-Pro kick returner last year. Yet Johnson plays 100 percent of the snaps, gets open and catches four passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Patterson, who played three snaps on offense the week before, played one this week. And it was only to hand the ball off to him for a 6-yard run. Amazing. Rudolph is back to playing nearly 100 percent of the snaps. But he had one of those games where he's hardly noticeable with two catches for nine yards. He's good enough that he should never not turn heads in a game.

RUNNING BACKS: Matt Asiata 45, FB Jerome Felton 10, Ben Tate 10, Joe Banyard 3, FB Zach Line INA

Thoughts: Banyard obviously is still in the doghouse for botching a pass protection call last week. Otherwise, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him to virtually disappear after rushing for five of the team's 20 first downs and converting three of its third downs in limited opportunities two weeks ago. His nine-yard carry — in just three snaps — was the longest by a running back on Sunday. Asiata should be commended for being a hard-nosed player who knows his limitations and runs hard straight ahead. But his 2.8-yard average on Sunday is pretty much his ceiling when it comes to explosiveness. Tate getting a series late in regulation shows the team is showing more confidence in him.

DEFENSIVE SNAPS:78.

LINEBACKERS: Chad Greenway 78, Gerald Hodges 57, Jasper Brinkley 45, Brandon Watts INA, Anthony Barr INA.

Thoughts: It's nice to see Hodges starting to live up to his potential as one of the faster, more athletic linebackers we've seen in a while. Spotting the Jets' slant call on the first snap based on the formation was only half the battle on Hodges' interception return for a touchdown 12 seconds into the game. The athleticism to leap, snag the ball with his left hand at that close a range, come down, spin and run 27 yards around the corner for a touchdown might have been the best play the team has had all year. Greenway once again played every snap, handling Barr's role in the nickel and dime packages. He also moved back into the team lead in tackles, which is impressive considering he missed three games with injuries earlier this year.

DEFENSIVE LINE: DE Everson Griffen 76, DE Brian Robison 71, NT Linval Joseph 61, DT Tom Johnson 39, DT Shamar Stephen 37, DT Sharrif Floyd 19, DE Corey Wootton 7, DE Justin Trattou 2, DE Scott Crichton INA.

Thoughts: Griffen's motor seems to get faster as the season wears on. He had another sack and a pass deflection on third-and-six that forced the Jets to punt the ball away in Vikings territory in overtime. They never got the ball back. Griffen played a season-high 97 percent of the snaps. Wootton was particularly efficient with his production in relation to his snaps. He tackled Percy Harvin for a loss on an end around. That's no easy feat for a DE. Trattou getting two reps is interesting only in that it was two more reps than rookie draft pick Scott Crichton, who continues to be left out. Trattou was active and played as soon as he was re-signed to the active roster last week. Crichton continues to sit.

SECONDARY: CB Xavier Rhodes 78, FS Harrison Smith 76, SS Robert Blanton 75, CB Josh Robinson 54, S Andrew Sendejo 5, CB Jabari Price INA.

Thoughts: Someone asked Rhodes after Sunday's game about hoping to make the Pro Bowl some day. Heck, if he continues on the path he's on this season, he'll be All-Pro some day. Three more passes defensed and some extraordinary tight coverage are becoming routine. And he also played every snap for the second straight week. Blanton injured his leg in overtime and missed three defensive snaps. He had played in every snap this season up to that point. Sendejo had the five most efficient snaps you'll ever see. On the second of two snaps for an injured Smith, he forced a fumble that became a takeaway inside the Vikings' 5. Later, he finished the game in overtime when Blanton was hurt.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Most snaps: Marcus Sherels 21.

TEAM-HIGH SNAPS: Greenway 86 (78 defense, eight special teams).
