The Twins, in search for scouting help, are turning to a familiar face.
Larry Corrigan, who was one of GM Terry Ryan’s closest confidants during a 21-year run that ended in 2007, is expected to re-join the organization, according to persons with knowledge of the situation. Corrigan, 63, has spent the past two seasons as a special assignment scout for the Angels. Before that, he spent four seasons with the Pirates.
Corrigan filled a variety of roles with the Twins from 1987 to 2007, including West Coast scouting supervisor, director of scouting, minor league field coordinator and special assistant to Ryan.
Once the appointment is official, Corrigan is expected to handle pro scouting, but could also help with amateur and international scouting. Corrigan will replace Bill Milos, who resigned at the end of the year, in pro scouting.
