Gophers men's hockey is the unanimous No. 1 in this week's USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls.

A 3-3 tie and 6-1 victory over then-No. 5 Boston College last weekend solidified the top spot and all 84 first-place votes in both polls.

Notre Dame, Providence, Michigan and North Dakota round out the Top 5 in the USCHO poll. St. Cloud State, Minnesota State and Minnesota-Duluth are also in the Top 20.

The Gophers will enjoy a bye week before traveling to South Bend, Ind., to face No. 2 Notre Dame.

Both Gophers men's and women's hockey teams are now unanimous No. 1s. The women have been No. 1 since the season started. The men are in their second week at No. 1. They are the first men's No. 1 to hold college hockey's top spot more than one week throughout the first month of the season.
