No suspension for Tanguay; Backstrom, Kassian stay home

Greetings for a final time today. Here are a few late-afternoon updates.

--First, the Jared Spurgeon situation. This morning Wild coach Mike Yeo called the elbow Alex Tanguay put on Spurgeon -- resulting in Spurgeon sustaining a concussion -- was a dirty one. Apparently the league doesn't agree, as Mr. Russo just got an e-mail back from the league saying Tanguay would not be subject to any further action for the hit.

--Second, goaltender Nik Backstrom (lower body) did not make the trip to Buffalo, meaning Matt Hackett will be an emergency call-up to provice a backup to starting goalie Josh Harding.

--Forward Matt Kassian (groin) also did not make the trip to Buffalo.

That's about it. Have a good day.
