Eric Nystrom is on the Wild roster again -- for now. The 28-year-old forward, who cleared regular waivers last week, cleared re-entry waivers Wednesday despite the ability for the other 29 teams to claim him at half his $1.4 million salary.
Nystrom, 28, signed a three-year, $4.2 deal on July 1, 2010. He scored four goals and was minus-16 last year.
With Nystrom back on the roster, the Wild has 24 players. The Wild either has to make a trade today, put a player on injured reserve or reassign a player that doesn't require waivers or passed through waivers already (ie send Nystrom back).
The Wild has the day off, but Kent Youngblood is on the team. More later.
