Kelly Pannek scored a goal in each period, and Amanda Leveille made 19 saves as the Gophers women's hockey team defeated St. Cloud State 5-0 on Monday night in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women's Faceoff Classic.

The game was played in front of a near-sellout crowd at Braemar Arena in Edina.

"It was just an electric atmosphere here tonight," Gophers coach Brad Frost said. "Playing in front of a crowd like that with all the young girls and boys in the stands screaming away was pretty exciting for our players and for St. Cloud State. I know both teams really enjoyed it."

Kate Schipper and Dani Cameranesi also scored late in the third period for the second-ranked Gophers (12-1-2, 10-1-2 WCHA). Schipper made it 3-0 at the 18:37 mark of the period before Cameranesi scored her 14th goal of the season with only nine seconds left before intermission.

The Gophers improved to 63-3-2 all-time vs. St. Cloud State, and they have won 21 consecutive meetings.

Julie Friend made 40 saves for the Huskies (5-9-1, 2-6-1-1).
