KSTP just announced that Louie Anderson will be doing more than a stop by on their afternoon show. Fans of Steve & Sharon will be particularly thrilled to see they will be making a live appearance as well. Here's the press release:
St. Paul, MN – September 29, 2009 – Minnesota native Louie Anderson will be the guest co-host on “Twin Cities Live” Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd. Louie is one of the funniest and best-known comedians working today. Also known for being the former host of “Family Feud” and his appearances on late night talk shows, television audiences love him. He currently has a regularly scheduled performance in Las Vegas at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino.
Mandy Grosser, “Twin Cities Live” Executive Producer, says “We are thrilled that Louie has taken time out of his crazy, busy schedule to spend the afternoon with Twin Cities Live viewers. We have two fantastic shows planned to highlight Louie’s unique sense of humor and his memories of growing up in Minnesota.”
The two shows with Anderson as guest host will feature:
~ Louie has a live interview with Steve & Sharon Edelman, beloved and long-time co-hosts of “Good Company”, which aired on KSTP-TV 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS from 1982-1994.
~ FM107.1 shop girl Alexis Walsko will be showing off ladies fashions inspired by Louie’s infamous sweaters.
~ 25 years in the comedy business and sold out Vegas shows makes Louie a comedy expert! He’ll check out a local up-and-coming comedian to see if they have what it takes to make it big.
~ A St. Paul family has been chosen to be on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and Louie will have an exclusive interview with this very lucky and very deserving family.
