9 p.m. at Phoenix • 106.1-FM
Lynx update: The Lynx didn’t have to wait long to get another crack at Phoenix. The Mercury broke a 14-game losing streak to the Lynx, including playoffs, in a one-sided game Sunday at Target Center. The Lynx, who beat the Sparks 94-77 in Los Angeles on Tuesday, will be completing a difficult back-to-back, their second of the season. This is part of perhaps the most grueling portion of the Lynx schedule, with the team in the midst of a stretch in which they play six games in 10 nights. The Lynx have won five regular-season games in a row in Phoenix. F Maya Moore’s recent shooting slump had dropped her to second in the league in scoring (21.9) entering Tuesday’s game, but she scored 31 points on 12-for-16 shooting against L.A. G Seimone Augustus was fifth in the WNBA in scoring (18.5) entering Tuesday.
Mercury update: Phoenix will have rested for two days before this game. In Sunday’s victory, four of the Mercury’s five starters finished in double figures, including Diana Taurasi, who had 21 points and 11 assists. Taurasi is second in the league in assists per game (6.1) and seventh in scoring (18.3). F Candace Dupree also had a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) vs. the Lynx. The Mercury shot 52.5 percent and led by as many as 23 points on Sunday.
