Banham named to Big Ten Player of Week Honor Roll

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota junior guard Rachel Banham has been named to the Big Ten player of the week honor toll.

Banham averaged 30 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals in games against Iowa and Northwestern last week.

Banham scored 32 points on 12-for-22 shooting from the field at Iowa on Wednesday night, before posting her fifth career double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds in the Gophers' win over Northwestern at home on Sunday afternoon.

Banham also matched her career high with seven assists and was 12-for-13 from the free throw line against the Wildcats.

The Gophers face No. 18 Nebraska on the road Thursday night. The game will be broadcast live on BTN.
