Ticket prices for Target Field All-Star Game announced

Twins season-ticket holders over the weekend received notices of prices for the July 15 All-Star Game at Target Field. As expected, it won’t be cheap to be part of the Midsummer Classic.

One ticket strip will cost from $401 to $1,416 for Champions Club members.

For comparison, strips in Kansas City two years ago ranged from $377 to $1,077. Last year, when the game was played in Citi Field in New York, prices ranged from $453 to $2,005. Prices are set by MLB in conjunction with the Twins.

Each strip consists of single tickets for several events: FanFest, the Futures Game, the Legends and Celebrity Softball Game, the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game. Oh, the price also covers a commemorative program.

Full season-ticket holders will receive invoices in mid-January. Partial season-ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets from April 15 to 17. Because of tickets that MLB needs for the game, normal seat assignments might change.

After the Twins’ roughly 19,000 season-ticket holders purchase their seats — and MLB receives its allotment — single-game buyers and the general public will be able to register to win a chance to purchase tickets.
