A personal trainer from Plymouth is the winner of a national contest to discover the "Next Fitness Star."

On Wednesday, Women's Health magazine crowned Stacie Clark, 40, the winner of its months-long search for the ultimate fitness trainer to star in an upcoming DVD fitness series. Thousands applied and Clark beat out four other finalists to win the title.

She was selected through a process that included online voting and input from a panel of judges. Appearing on the Today show Wednesday morning, she jumped up and down and cheered when the Women's Health magazine editor announced she was the winner.

Clark is a certified fitness trainer and co-founder of Tiger Athletics, a fitness company that focuses on developing children and adults together; she is also a mother of two.
