The Twins hit the field for early workouts before tonight's game against the Marlins. It was a chance for them to get a feel for this new and quirky park. I talked with a couple locals last night (during the, ahem, Stanley Cup clinching performance by a certain team) and they love Marlins Park.

``You can do other things beside watch the game, which is a good thing with the way the Marlins are playing,'' one fan said.

I feel the same about Target Field, but the Twins are flirting with .500 while the Marlins are one of baseball's worst teams. I'm sure fans look for other reasons to come to Marlins Park - if they bother coming at all.

That, "thing" in center field? I'm looking at it right now. It looks like a giant pinball machine. It's bigger than I thought.

Anyway, will check back later with updates, including Ryan Doumit, who was injured on Sunday while diving into home plate.
