New senior living center to be built in Chaska

Construction will begin this spring on The Legends at Hazeltine, a new senior living community in Chaska.
It will be developed and managed by the Goodman Group, and will include 125 apartments with assisted living, memory care and regular care suites. The project is a partnership between Ridgeview Medical Center, headquartered in Waconia, and the nonprofit Intergenerational Living and Health Care, Inc.
The Legends will be located at the northeast corner of Hwy. 41 and Hazeltine Boulevard, and will expand on the care and services provided by Ridgeview’s Two Twelve Medical Center, located nearby. Future plans call for an outpatient rehabilitation center.
Officials said the new senior community will specialize in providing residents with information to simplify access to health care providers and records, and will educate them about traditional and alternative treatment choices.
The Legends is scheduled to open in the fall of 2014.
