EDEN PRAIRIECity-run liquor stores extend their hours
Eden Prairie said its three liquor stores will now be open six days a week, Monday-Saturday, from 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
The change is to alleviate confusion about different hours on different days.
Most recently, the stores were open until 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, so the change will extend the closing time by one additional hour Monday and Tuesday as well.
PLYMOUTHChurch hosts its 9th annual alternative Christmas market
St. Barnabas Lutheran Church is hosting its ninth annual JustGifts Market, where shoppers can choose tax-deductible charitable gifts that benefit people in other countries.
Ideas include efforts to bring clean water to Nigeria, meals for street kids in Peru or a dry toilet for a home in Haiti.
The market will be held at the church, 15600 Old Rockford Road, on Dec. 1 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Dec. 2 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
They'll also be selling handcrafted gifts from around the world and crafts from St. Barnabas members, with proceeds directed to the charitable projects.
For more information, contact the church at 763-553-1239.
