Bicyclists and pedestrians who use the Hiawatha Light Rail Trail in south Minneapolis will find detours in place this week.
Monday and Tuesday, the portion of the trail between E. 26th Street and 15th Avenue S. will be closed as crews fill cracks and perform other maintenance work.
The suggested detour is via Minnehaha Avenue, 20th Avenue S. and S. 6th Street.
On Wednesday through Friday, the trail between 11th Avenue S. and Norm McGrew Place near the Metrodome will be closed. The posted detour will take riders and walkers along 11th Avenue S., S. 2nd Street and Chicago Avenue.
That closure is related to work on the Central Corridor Light Rail line.
