What has happened to literature -- and to the world -- since 9/11?

Granta magazine takes a look at this question in its latest issue, "Ten Years Later," which goes on sale in September. The issue includes pieces by two Iraq war veterans and a Guantanamo detainee, as well as reports from Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Pakistan, and fiction from Afghanistan and North Korea.

Folks from Granta are also holding a series of public forums on the topic across the country, including one in Minneapolis.

The panel will include novelist Marlon James, human rights activist Barbara Frey and writer Susan Power, and will be moderated by Marianne Combs of Minnesota Public Radio. It's free, and takes place at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at Open Book, 1011 Washington Av. S., Mpls.
